Most of these songs were made using an underrated free online DAW called Audiotool, including the entirety of Astral Aurora’s soundtrack. I highly recommend Audiotool for those who are getting into electronic music production!

Astral Aurora - The Complete Soundtrack

Genre: Chiptune

Astral Aurora is a soundtrack to a video game Idea that I created in 4 separate parts in my spare time. The game does not yet exist, but the story and soundtrack both do, along with some minor concept art. This project is definitely the biggest, longest, and hardest musical project that i've EVER worked on as of March 6th, 2022. It may not be the most popular or memorable, and it may be disappointing that there is no game yet, but I have managed to persevere through every obstacle and sacrifice thrown at me while making the soundtrack and story, and I will never regret it.

Void Edge

Genre: Glitch, Drum and Bass

I genuinely feel that I’ve come a long way with electronic music and reached another point in my creative adventure. It’s like I’ve crossed another barrier; not as significant a barrier as it was when I first released Carnelian, but another barrier nonetheless. Like Carnelian, I felt different while working on this project. It was a major effort to create something like this, but with all of the experience and feedback that I’ve received since Carnelian’s release in 2019, I think it took significantly less effort this time in the “struggle” sense of the word. I consider this to be my current personal best electronic music.

Carnelian

Genre: Experimental, Future Bass

When I created this song back in 2019, I wanted to put everything that I had into it. I also wanted it to sound like the most unique Future Bass song that anyone has ever heard. As a result, it is more Experimental than Future Bass, and I am more than satisfied by that. It felt different to really take my time and inspect every element of the song to make it sound as good as I could in that time, yet somehow, I still feel that I’ve only put in my 90% as opposed to my 100%. I had trouble opening the draft because of the sheer size of it at the time, and the lag from the project prevented me from doing a little more. Even still, it was personally my best of 2019 for sure.

Vs Sundream Cor Caroli

Genre: Chiptune

After careful consideration, it’s pretty darn close to several other songs, but I have concluded that this is my favorite song that I’ve made for Astral Aurora. It was my first time ever attempting a time signature switch, and I believe that it turned out amazingly!! I always find myself listening to this song first and the most whenever I go back and relisten to my soundtrack for the billionth time in a row.

OMNISHAMBLES

Genre: Chiptune

This is one of the first final boss themes that I’ve ever composed. It is another highlight of Astral Aurora, and I put a LOT into this song. I have to say, though, that this did not turn out how I expected it to. I took several different turns at the beginning of making the song because I was struggling to come up with something that I could accept as a great final boss theme, but in the end, I was able to make something that satisfied me enough!

Turquoi

Genre: Experimental, Trap

This one was primarily inspired by 2 great music artists: Retro, and Nulus. When I was first making the song, I wasn’t expecting to turn it into a trippy, experimental trap-like song, even with the inspiration I had from other trap music, but the idea came to me and I decided to jump on it.

Upward

Genre: Chiptune

Chiptune, being my specialty, is the most fun type of music for me to create. This song was no exception. It is primarily inspired by Planet Earthfall from Kirby Star Allies and a little bit of Akrilic from Plok.

Tetrilax

Genre: Experimental, Trip Hop

The initial idea was for this song to be the fourth in an album of similarly styled songs. In fact, this is partially how I came up with the name; Tetra meaning four, and lax being short for relax. The name came before the song, and it influenced how I went about creating it. It has gone on to be one of my most well-received songs, and I thank you all for enjoying it :)

Shmoopjet

In collaboration with Shmoop

Genre: Chiptune

This collaboration was definitely the most fun I’ve ever had while creating music with someone else. Shmoop was such a nice and fun person to talk to and create music with. Shmoopjet was our first collaboration together, but we went on to make 2 others (Shmoopjet In Space & hdd.end.w.jetdarc). Unfortunately, I no longer have a surefire way to contact Shmoop at the moment, but I will never EVER forget the time we spent together. She’s even created the art for part 1 of Astral Aurora’s soundtrack! I wish we could come together to make music again.. I miss you, Shmoop!..

Requiem

In collaboration with Kibbey

Genre: Chiptune

Me and Kibbey both have styles that complement each other almost perfectly. This is our second collaboration between only us two, the first being Gambit. In my opinion, I think this one turned out much better because we both grew in between the time after completing Gambit and before this. It’s always fun to work with him, and I recommend you all to check out his music!!

Thundyre

Genre: Bass House

Oh man, this song was incredibly hard to make. It is inspired by one of my favorite music artists, Defsharp. When I first heard his song Quantum, I was so impressed and in absolute awe that I just HAD to try and create something like it, but no matter how much I tried and tried again, I couldn’t design a bass that I felt was any good, and I ended up taking a long break from trying until, FINALLY, I managed to come up with this.

Jetdarc X Navor

In collaboration with Navor (AKA Dove)

Genre: Trap, Chiptune

Back when I was still relatively new and under the radar in Audiotool, it was a goal of mine to be able to collaborate with the immensely talented artist: dove (known as navor outside of Audiotool). His works are ALWAYS great, and I wanted to see what we both could come up with together, and the end result speaks for itself.

Cross Luminescence

Genre: Experimental, Trip Hop

This was one of those songs where I really wanted to embrace the weird, trippy style that I have. I was also experiencing art block for a while prior to working on this, and it wasn’t a great experience. I’m glad that I managed to return with a song of this caliber though. Perhaps it wouldn’t have been possible without art block forcing me to take a break…

Iridescent Reality

Genre: Experimental

I know I said I wanted to embrace my weird, trippy style with Cross Luminescence above, but this.. This was the epitome of weird and trippy to me. I made it to participate in Audiotool Day 2019 - a contest in which Audiotool users come together to create songs celebrating the impressive run of Audiotool as a whole. This song was heavily inspired by Aivi & Surrashu, and their song which was made for usage in Steven Universe, Spaced Out Beats. I absolutely love it so much, along with most of their work, especially for the soundtrack of Steven Universe.

Thaumatogenesis

Genre: Trip Hop

This is one of my favorite songs from myself. Despite it not being the case here, I like to imagine the vocals are of laughing angels. It gives the song a joyous aura, and it feels unique compared to my other songs. I just love how it feels to listen to it with all of this in mind!!

Nyugen

Genre: Funk, Chiptune

With this song, I wanted to blend chiptune elements with EDM and give it a Funky swing. It was made alongside Dreamscape in celebration of my 1000 follower milestone on Audiotool. I know the naming on this is strange, but bear with me, please!! It is intended to be pronounced “NYOO - GAN,” as opposed to the actual Vietnamese name, Nguyen, which is pronounced, “When.” I named it this way because it felt right to me at the time.

Dreamscape

Genre: Electro

I made this to celebrate my 1000 follower milestone on Audiotool. I never thought I would make it so far in Audiotool at that point, but I was wrong. The community saw what I was capable of, and they all helped me reach this milestone, and I could never say it enough about how grateful I am for my supporters!!

Deep Nebula: Version Alternate

Genre: Trap

This is the third version of Deep Nebula that I created. I wasn’t initially planning on turning it into Trap, but I decided to do so to challenge myself to make a unique take on trap. I hear so much trap music that sounds similar to each other that it gets exhausting sometimes. This is NOT always the case with Trap music; I’ve heard several unique takes before. I just wanted to create my own, and it turned out way better than I expected!
